This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the State E-rate Coordinators’ Alliance website available at https://secaerate.net/ and applies solely to information collected by the website.

The State E-rate Coordinators’ Alliance (SECA) is committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our website. We also collect some non-personally identifiable information for statistical purposes. We do not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

The State E-rate Coordinators’ Alliance is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, by completing a member profile, or other direct contact from you. We will not sell, rent, or lease this information to anyone.

We use the information we gather to enhance your website experience, to maintain membership access, and to process payments. We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization other than as necessary to fulfill your request, for example to process credit card payments. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future.

In common with other websites, log files may be stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.

Some pages on this site may use “cookies” which are small files that the site places on your hard drive for identification purposes. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID to track the pages visited, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. These files are used for site registration and customization the next time you visit us.

Member Directory

Only SECA members are included in the directory. Public information is limited to the state coordinator's name, state, and whether they serve schools, libraries, or both. Additional member information is made available only for SECA members and is visible after an active member has logged into the website. Member data is only used in the membership system and for no other purpose. The directory may not be sold or used by anyone else for any purpose without written approval from SECA’s Officers.

Third Party Providers

SECA uses Wild Apricot to host its website and administer its membership information. Wild Apricot's service has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Wild Apricot follows generally accepted industry practices to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Wild Apricot does not store any sensitive credit card data. When you make a membership payment by credit card, we process your payment through our secure third-party payment processor, AffiniPay.

Contact Us

SECA is an all-volunteer organization and does not have paid staff. You may reach the leadership of the organization by emailing any Officer with your questions or concerns. Active members may adjust their privacy settings at any time by logging in to their account and adjusting the privacy setting in their member profile.
